Disciple/Follower

  • Constantly growing in personal devotion, sharing THE Story boldly, being a spiritual warrior & a life-long learner.
  • Making health & fitness (Temple Maintenance) a lasting honoring habit.
  • Developing a dynamic prayer life growing in Biblical knowledge, understanding, & experience.

  • Work through the 10 chapters a day to finish Prof. Horner's Bible reading system. Daily starting at 5:45 am.
  • Pray daily for the Father to show me where He is at work & seeking to join Him.
  • Pray daily for the Father to show me persons of peace &/or gate keepers in our communities, city, & region.
  • Practice is on Tuesdays, Thursdays, & Fridays. Games on Saturday. Lift on Mondays & Wednesdays throughout the season, focusing on recovery. Make high protein, less to no sugar, less to no milk products, food choices.
  • Fatigue in the mornings.
  • Getting lost in the daily tasks and to-dos
  • Missing it when the Father shows me the person of peace, or gate keepers in the city.
  • Getting caught up in reading and missing the fellowship with the Father during my daily time in the word
  • Not working out due to tiredness & the effects of "gettin old" during a long football season.
  • Not making healthy food choices due to stress and the hurry of life & schedule
  • I'm walking in integrity & purity with a fully nourished mind, body, & soul. Living in a continuing cycle of self-feeding personal discipleship & disciple making that multiplies to the 4th generation and beyond. Living 2 Timothy 2:2 with stories to tell.
  • Fresh in my relationship with the Father, having found persons of peace, loving my neighbors & city well.
  • I'm fit and healthy able to run a 10k, play a game of pick-up basketball, shoot par or bogie golf, or do a CrossFit workout at a moments notice or any other type of athletic/outdoors activities, events, or races
Husband
  • Constantly serving my wife with my time, energy, & focus
  • Give my wife the space, environments, & budget for her to flourish & live out her dreams
  • Look one another in the eyes with full affection & love
  • Never forgetting to hold hands, kiss, laugh, and dance through our daily life journey
  • Setting our Calendars & schedules for the coming week on Sunday nights, planning her outings and opportunities for creative expression. Trying to accomplish this at least 2-3 times per week.
  • Making sure I budget generously for Spring/summer Fashion. Clothes, shoes, and accessories.
  • Continue to do random acts of love like buying flowers, twix candy, & Dr. Peppers.
  • Working to put down technology distractions in the evenings. No cell phones from supper to the kids bed time. And, no cell phones, iPads, or other technological distractions when communicating our days, plans, dreams, and to-dos nightly.
  • Making sure I kiss her first in the morning. Kissing her first whenever I leave the house or the room. Kissing her as soon as I return home.
  • Continue to bring her her coffee & Bible 1st thing every morning.
  • Making sure weekly I ask her about how she can get time out with friends at the movies, coffee & brunch times, craft nights, etc.
  • Busyness
  • Forgetting to do random acts of Love.
  • Being distracted by technology & missing a look in her eyes during a point in communication
  • Being so much in a hurry that I don't take the time to kiss her before running out the door
  • Scheduling issues due to our little baby girl needing to nurse.
  • My wife and I are in love, holding hands, and looking into each others eyes like we are still captivated by the amazing journey of our marriage and privilege of being given one another.
  • We're still laughing at ourselves, out loud, and at our crazy adventures.
  • My wife feels loved, nourished in mind, body, & soul through her relationship with the Father and my support of her creativity & outlet needs as a woman.
  • Celebrating our dreams and accomplishments together as each others biggest fans.
Father
  • Training my children in unison with my wife in such a way that in their adult season of life I'm still "famous" to them, not dominating or exasperating them.
  • Leave a legacy that goes beyond my lifetime.
  • Helping them develop and grow in the giftings, talents, & skill sets they have, coaching them to find & live the great story they were created for, and seeing them turn the world upside down for the Kingdom.
  • Being their biggest fan and encourager throughout their journey's
  • Equipping them to be healthy third culture kids.
  • Pray for their Salvation. See them come to faith and have the joy & privilege of baptizing them.
  • Continue our supper time ritual of asking them to share one thing they were thankful for and one thing they saw as a blessing during their day
  • Pray over the kids daily in between our specific traffic light poles on the way to school. (They know and recognize this now, and are used to me praying at those spots)
  • Take each kid out at least monthly for an intentional "date" type time to just hear them, doing something they enjoy, and focus on them.
  • Help them be healthy & contributing members of our House Church and city church network models/experience, as well as being able to appreciate and partner well with more traditional and institutionalized national and American Churches by helping them see positives in each, teaching them about the diversity of the Kingdom and guiding thru dialogue with them after exposure to each type of setting making sure to focus on the Biblical aspects that were achieved.
  • Hold each of my kids daily and love on them by encouraging the positive actions and decisions I see them making.
  • Continue to read the Bible with them while they color at least 3 times during the week taking these opportunities and our daily talks to teach them and expose them to Spiritual truths from the word.
  • Using the monthly & daily times of speaking with them to teach & help them notice their roles in Biblical Manhood & Biblical Womanhood.
  • Busyness

  • Being in to much of a hurry in life, not slowing down to speak and communicate with them
  • The kids are flourishing healthily in various environments fully confident in who they are, comfortable in their roles, and functioning with passion and purpose in their God-given talents and skills living beautiful stories, pursuing and accomplishing their dreams, while saving many lives and helping tons of people.
Coach
  • To walk people through leadership training, & life planning that leads to transformation and them finding the story they were created to live, that saves lives, renews communities, and multiplies in continuous life change & effectiveness.
  • Search all opportunities to get certified and further coaching development. Through either Life Breakthrough Academy or the Masters in Life Coaching offered by Liberty University.
  • Seek the best possible financial option for these certifications.
  • Start a personal website & get head shots.
  • Upload the head shots to the website & all other social media outlets. Update or seek options with a graphic designer for my Logo/Brand
  • Continue to help walk people through Storyline & setting up their subplot account
  • Learn from Don, Mike Foster, Seth Godin, John Maxwell, Michael Hyatt, Supercoaching, Gospelcoaching, and others to find my working personal balance & coaching style between Corporate & Story in a post-Christian European context. So, do this by reading their email updates, blogs, and publications on a weekly basis. Also, staying current with conference talks and Catalyst conferences. Read Platform by Hyatt and other Brand & leadership publications.
  • Find a practical way to record my coaching hours
  • Continue the daily use of the Storyline Productivity Schedule
  • Learn from Entrepreneurs by continuing to read 99u publications and updates
  • Write blog posts that are published at least 3 times a week.
  • Not having the clients to coach
